What is an Otoplasty?
An otoplasty, commonly called ear surgery, is a surgical procedure designed to improve the aesthetic appearance of the ear. It can change the size, shape, and position of the ears to meet the preferences of the patient. These changes can be subtle or more dramatic, yet the results are always tailored to the patient’s unique goals and facial structure.
Ear surgery involves incisions on the back of the ear and/or within the natural creases, allowing Dr. Baldenhofer to reshape the cartilage and minimize visible scarring. The results are permanent and often last a lifetime.
