What is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that elevates the brow and smooths wrinkles and signs of aging in the upper face. It addresses sagging skin, deep forehead lines, and stubborn frown lines between the eyebrows, which can give you a tired expression. As a result, patients achieve a more lively, youthful appearance, easing the resting, worried, tired, or angry expression that comes with sagging brows. A brow lift can be performed using one of two techniques: endoscopic and coronal.
The endoscopic approach involves incisions within the hairline, using small instruments and a tiny camera to reshape and elevate sagging tissue beneath the skin, minimizing incisions.
The coronal approach involves a single incision extending from ear to ear and goes along the hairline. It allows Dr. Baldenhofer to access the skin to lift and tighten the lax muscles responsible for frowning and drooping.
